ICECAPITAL Asset Management has launched a private equity fund-of-funds program investing in Finland, in cooperation with Finnish foundations. The anchor investors of ICECAPITAL Finland Private Equity I, the inaugural fund of the program, include the Society of Swedish Literature in Finland, the Finnish Cultural Foundation, the Jenny and Antti Wihuri Foundation, the Alfred Kordelin Foundation, and the Confederation of Finnish Industries and Employers (TT) Foundation.
The program is underpinned by Finnish foundations’ desire to create a positive force for change in the national economy. “The growth of Finnish companies is something we care deeply about, and we want to play our part in fostering the conditions for growth in our country. We believe that the vitality of the Finnish economy calls for courage in allocating growth capital, including from us as institutional investors”, says Björn Teir, CEO of the Society of Swedish Literature in Finland.
The program will selectively invest in Finnish private equity funds, covering buyout, growth equity and venture capital strategies. Each individual vintage will comprise approximately 10-14 high-quality Finnish funds.
